"If you've ever worried about the environmental impact of all those discarded latex condoms, this might be the super-futuristic invention for you! Australian scientists have apparently figured out how to insert a microchip in the vas deferens (that's the part of the male equipment that delivers semen), and when the man is about to have sex, he can press "pause" on a device that sends RF waves to his intimate microchip. The chip translates the waves into acoustic waves, which then cause the chip to expand, blocking sperm from passing through the vas deferens."

I'm thinking someone would need a sump-pump pretty quick... *thinking there's a dirty (dirtier) joke in there somewhere...*

An implantable sump pump would be ideal dc. Of course the guy receiving it would have to prepare an environmental impact report & have his neighborhood re-zoned light industrial.
Hopefully sump pumps don't produce much exhaust, noise or vibration.

I don't know...the vibration might be a selling point. Exhaust, well, that's kind of redundant, isn't it? And noise -- give her an iPod.

All this - a microchipped oldfeller and a horde of sperm ready for a holiday but finding the departure gate locked - sounds excruciating.

The spectre of overpopulation has made sperm superfluous bilby - but not males hopefully. We still have value, don't we?
